Free Reads? What the heck?

First of all, welcome and thank you for visiting Jade Cary, Romance. I appreciate your support, and I hope you will visit often.

Yesterday, my publisher, Staci Taylor over at Lazy Day Publishing informed me that she would be setting up The Point of it All for download for FREE on Amazon Kindle for a limited time. FREE. That means for NO MONEY. That means I get NO MONEY.

Now, before you color me just another pretentious, greedy author, I assure you, I didn't come into this writing gig believing for a minute I'd be the next Kat Martin or Jude Deveraux, but would I mind making a buck or two? Of course not. But I also understand the business of publishing, even if it's just this much. I know that, as a new author, even if I self published The Point of it All, I'd have to do something to get my name, and the book, out there in front of potential readers. I sought out a publisher for a reason, and that reason is that generally they know publishing--which is more than I know. I have placed myself gratefully in the capable hands of Staci and Lazy Day, and I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to download The Point of it All, enjoy it, and then post an HONEST review on Amazon. I really mean HONEST. I want to know what you think of the book, even if you weren't wild about it. Tell me why. And if you loved it, tell me why, too.

I am blessed with great support here on the home-front, and with Lazy Day. I am surrounded by amazingly talented authors and poets I am privileged to call friends, and I am grateful to you readers out there, who love and support emerging authors as well as the established ones. We're only as good as our latest book, and my wish is to keep them coming to you all for as long as you wish to read them.
